THE AREAS OF TULUM

ALDEA ZAMA: The most exclusive community for luxury residential. Aldea Zama is in the perfect location between the town and the beach and many of us call it the epicenter where everything is very close. It began very well planned within a “Master Plan” with subway utilities, paved streets and defined areas for residential, multi-family and commercial. The lighting infrastructure is subway so you don’t see the wires from the windows and there is a very pleasant feeling of security. There is also a Cenote!

LA VELETA This area is booming, we call it the “SOHO of TULUM”, where you can find the famous CALLE 7, which today is a hot spot to go for dinner, lunch or breakfast. This area is ideal for people who want to enjoy the local life of Tulum. You are well connected to the Kukulkan highway to go to the beach and town and you are also only 3 minutes away from Aldea Zama. Here you will find a variety of new, upscale residential buildings along with very basic construction, as well as paved and unpaved streets, and shacks. This makes it a very local feel but of foreign people who decided to live in Tulum.

THE VILLAGE here you can find all kinds of services varied restaurants, stores, pharmacies and banks. It is here where events are generated in the town square of Tulum. The government has invested in this area and you will notice that the sidewalks and meeting areas are beautiful, activating commerce in this area. There are also some very charming streets such as Centauro street which some call “the mini fifth” referring to how the fifth avenue of Playa del Carmen began, although Centauro street is only 3 blocks, there is already a very good atmosphere with restaurants and bars. Places like La Guarida, El BĂĄcaro and Batey are very popular.

REGION 15 This area at the beginning was very well known due to some very particular and striking developments that seemed to be an oasis surrounded by jungle. Although there are some very nice projects that respect the jungle, there are also a lot of constructions in an area where there is still no urban planning. There are few paved roads so it is much more comfortable to arrive by jeep or a 4×4 truck because with the rain the streets become a not very pleasant adventure. There is no drainage here yet, so the projects have biodigesters (which when done wrong, represent a big part of the water contamination problems in Tulum). This area has been growing with very authentic architectural projects some with lots of green areas within a large lot. You will find projects that include more amenities. Some blocks have subway lighting cables as well, but this is because the developers themselves agree to improve their block.

REGION 8 Similar situation to Region 15, but closer to the beach and with the particularity that being closer to the beach, then there are many subway rivers where you have to be careful in which project to select because it has to be very well designed for the infrastructure, which has a good foundation so that over time there is no damage to the structure.

HOLISTIKA: This area has become a very beautiful community that surrounds the Community Center of the hotel restaurant and wellness Holistic Tulum This area is a favorite place for people looking to transform and connect with their higher self. As well as those seeking wellness through connecting mind body, you can find yoga classes and raw food restaurants and local organic food markets such as Gypsea Market. There are some beautiful villas and apartments around. The main avenue is 5th street which in the future is planned to reach the beach. REGION 11: This area is very new, you will find beautiful projects conscious that are very close to the biosphere. The location is very strategic if you want to enjoy the commercial boulevard that Coba road offers, you are also super close to the only 2 supermarkets that exist in Tulum (Chedrahui and Super Aki). It is beautiful for people who want to experience biking to the ruins as well.
